our pecan version of marzipan, or “mazapán”. a sweeter, more delicate treat that melts in your mouth.
marz

the origin of our marz is more closely related to a "mazapán", typically made of peanuts or almonds, found most often in Mexico and Spain respectively. taking a further look back, there is speculation as to where marzipan really came from, but its origins may include Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
in the U.S., we found there is no predominant version.
